Game1
Fire Breathing
Number of players: any number
Age/ Proficiency Level: any
Preparation Time: 5 minutes
Play Time: 10-20 minutes
Preparation
Create cards with the target vocabulary. Distribute them into four levels according to their difficulty level.
Object of the game
The goal of this game is to revise vocabulary.
Roles
This is a player vs player game, which means that everyone wants to win and be the last one standing. All of the students are players excluding one who is the host.
Rules of Play
There are four levels. Each level is worth a different number of points. The cards either have a word in the target language or a word in their mother language. The host decides whether the player should translate the word, say a synonym, or give the definition of the word based on the difficulty level. So on level one, the host should not ask for a definition or a synonym.
Each player starts with 15 hps.
In each turn, the player chooses which card deck he/she wants to draw from. If the player can translate, give a synonym, or give the definition of the word correctly, the player decides who (other players) he/she wants to deal damage to. The damage points can be dealt to different players at the same time, not just one. While the player gives the wrong answer, the damage will be dealt to his/her life points.
The last one standing wins the game.
Scoring
Level one gives 1 damage point.
Level two gives 3 damage points.
Level three gives 5 damage points.
Level four gives 7 damage points.
